Privacy Policy

Sourdough Calculator is a Northjade app for calculating dough formulas, planning bake schedules, recording starter feeds, and keeping bake outcomes.

Formula, starter, and journal data

Ingredient quantities, recipe names, schedule steps and events, starter feed records, notes, and selected photos are stored on the device. They are not sent to Northjade, advertising services, analytics services, or purchase providers. The app does not require an account or upload a recipe catalog.

Local notifications may include a user-created bake step or starter name. They are scheduled through the operating system and remain under the user's device notification controls.

Photos and exports

The app reads only a photo the user explicitly selects for a bake outcome. The selected image is resized and stored with the local journal record. The app does not scan the photo library or analyze photos.

An explicit export or share action sends only the summary selected by the user to the destination the user chooses. Exported data is then governed by that destination's privacy practices.

Optional platform and provider services

A released build may use the platform app store, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform for purchases, entitlements, crash diagnostics, coarse product analytics, advertising, and consent choices. Depending on consent and provider behavior, these services may process purchase history, app or device identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, diagnostics, performance information, and an approximate region derived from an IP address.

These services must not receive ingredient quantities, recipe or starter names, schedule text, journal notes, photos, or exported summaries. Analytics is limited to coarse workflow events and bounded count or state categories. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies' apps or websites.

Permissions

Notification permission is requested only when the user enables a reminder. Photo access uses Apple's system picker when the user chooses a bake photo. The core calculator, schedules, recipes, starter records, and journal work without either permission.

Retention and deletion

Formulas, recipes, bake records, starter feeds, photos, and preferences remain on the device until the user deletes them, resets product data, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. Purchase records remain governed by the platform store and can be restored separately.
