Sourdough Calculator & Timer
Support
Support
Sourdough Calculator includes starter flour and water in total hydration, then subtracts those amounts from the flour and water added to the mix. A schedule is an editable plan rather than a prediction of fermentation.
Formula results look unexpected
- Confirm the selected scale basis: total flour, target dough, or loaves.
- Check total hydration, starter flour percentage, starter hydration, and salt.
- Open Calculation details to compare total and starter-carried flour and water.
- Make sure multiple flour shares total 100 percent.
- Switch units in Settings; the app keeps grams as the canonical stored mass.
Levain builder
- Enter the levain mass you need, the seed amount, and the source and target hydration.
- The result separates seed, added flour, and added water while preserving the selected target hydration.
- A levain build is a quantity plan, not a prediction of ripeness or timing.
Schedule or reminder issues
- A Target Finish plan must start in the future.
- Adjust a step duration to shift later planned times.
- Open Settings if notification access was denied or disabled.
- On Android, allow alarms and reminders for more precise timing. Without that permission, Android may delay background alerts; countdowns remain usable.
- The schedule and active bake remain usable when notifications are unavailable.
- Pausing guidance preserves completed events and shifts future times when the bake resumes.
Starter and journal data
Starter feed ratios use three positive parts, such as 1:1:1. Photos are added
only through the system photo picker. Recipes, starter feeds, schedules, notes,
and photos stay on the device unless the user explicitly exports them or uses
the platform-specific recovery described below.
On iOS, automatic iCloud recovery is checked during onboarding and confirmed afterward. It does not continuously merge multiple devices. If new offline data conflicts with an older iCloud snapshot, the app asks which copy to keep and offers an export before replacement. Purchase status is separate and can be restored through the App Store.
On Android, system backup can restore records and preferences when enabled, within the operating system's per-app quota. Photos are not cloud-backed up; they remain local and can accompany supported device transfer and photo-inclusive export. A missing restored photo is labeled unavailable. Android decides when backup and restoration run. Purchases are restored through Google Play using the same store account; no app account is required.
The interface and in-app guide are in English. Store descriptions may be localized without changing the app's interface language.
