Privacy Policy

Recipe Cost Calculator is a Northjade app for recording ingredient package costs, calculating recipe and selling-format costs, comparing price targets, planning production, and exporting results.

Recipe and cost data

Ingredient and recipe names, quantities, package prices, yields, selling formats, labor, packaging, overhead, fees, price targets, notes, plans, and saved scenarios are stored on the device. They are not sent to Northjade, advertising services, analytics services, or purchase providers. The app does not require a Northjade account.

When iCloud is available, the app may keep a versioned recovery snapshot in its private CloudKit container under the user's Apple Account. This supports recovery after reinstalling or changing an Apple device. It is not continuous multi-device sync, a shared workspace, or a Northjade account.

Exports

An explicit export or share action sends only the PDF or CSV chosen by the user to the destination the user selects. Exported data is then governed by that destination's privacy practices.

Optional platform and provider services

A released build may use the platform app store, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform for purchases, entitlements, crash diagnostics, coarse product analytics, advertising, and consent choices. Depending on consent and provider behavior, these services may process purchase history, app or device identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, diagnostics, performance information, and an approximate region derived from an IP address.

These services must not receive ingredient names, recipe names, quantities, prices, cost formulas, notes, plans, saved scenarios, or exported reports. Analytics is limited to coarse workflow events and bounded state categories. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies' apps or websites.

Permissions

Core calculation, storage, planning, and export need no hardware permission. Consent choices for advertising are requested only where required by the applicable provider and region.

Retention and deletion

Local records and preferences remain until the user deletes them or uninstalls the app. A private recovery snapshot remains under the user's Apple Account and platform controls until replaced or removed through the app's data lifecycle. Purchase records remain governed by the App Store and can be restored separately.
