Quilting Calculator is a Northjade app for calculating fabric requirements and keeping quilt projects, materials, and calculation history.

Quilt and project data

Calculator inputs, dimensions, results, project names, notes, material checklists, fabric-width profiles, and stash records are stored on the device. They are not sent to Northjade, advertising services, analytics services, or purchase providers. The app does not require a Northjade account.

When automatic private recovery is enabled for a released build, the app may store a versioned recovery snapshot in the app's private iCloud container under the user's Apple Account. It is used to restore data after reinstalling or changing an Apple device. It is not continuous cross-device sync, an Apple-to-Android transfer, or an advertising/analytics data source.

Exports

An explicit share or export action sends only the result, project summary, PDF, or CSV selected by the user to the destination the user chooses. Exported data is then governed by that destination's privacy practices.

Optional platform and provider services

A released build may use the platform app store, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform for purchases, entitlements, crash diagnostics, coarse product analytics, advertising, remote configuration, and consent choices. Depending on consent and provider behavior, these services may process purchase history, app or device identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, diagnostics, performance information, and an approximate region derived from an IP address.

These services must not receive quilt dimensions, project or material names, notes, stash records, formula payloads, or exported content. Analytics is limited to coarse calculator type, completion state, error category, and bounded count or state categories. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies' apps or websites.

Permissions

The core calculator and project planner do not request camera, photo, contacts, location, microphone, or notification permission. Advertising consent choices are requested only where the consent platform determines they are required.

Retention and deletion

Projects, calculations, templates, profiles, stash records, and preferences remain on the device until the user deletes the applicable record, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. When private recovery is enabled, its copy is retained under the user's Apple Account and platform controls. Purchase records remain governed by the platform store and can be restored separately.
