Privacy Policy
Home Inventory is a Northjade app for organizing private records of properties, rooms, belongings, evidence, reminders, and exports.
Inventory and evidence data
Property, room, container, and item names; photos; receipts; documents; OCR text; serial and model numbers; values; dates; warranties; tags; custom fields; notes; reminders; searches; saved filters; and activity history are stored on the device. They are not sent to Northjade, advertising services, analytics services, or purchase providers. The app does not require a Northjade account.
When iCloud is available, the app may keep a versioned recovery snapshot and its evidence files in a private CloudKit container under the user's Apple Account. This supports recovery after reinstalling or changing an Apple device. It is not continuous multi-device sync, an Apple-to-Android transfer, or an advertising/analytics data source.
Receipt text recognition uses Apple's Vision framework on the device. The app shows recognized suggestions for confirmation before saving them to the local record.
Imports and exports
A photo or file import reads only the item selected through the system picker. An explicit share or export action sends only the PDF, CSV, or evidence ZIP selected by the user to the destination the user chooses. An evidence ZIP may include the selected inventory records, readable reports, checksums, and the actual photos or documents referenced by those records. Exported files are then governed by that destination's privacy practices. The app has no force- backup or routine manual-restore command.
Optional platform and provider services
A released build may use the platform app store, RevenueCat, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform for purchases, entitlements, crash diagnostics, coarse product analytics, advertising, remote configuration, and consent choices. Depending on consent and provider behavior, these services may process purchase history, app or device identifiers, product interactions, advertising data, diagnostics, performance information, and an approximate region derived from an IP address.
These services must not receive inventory names, evidence files, OCR text, serial or model numbers, values, dates, warranties, tags, notes, reminder text, searches, automatic recovery contents, or exported content. Analytics is limited to coarse workflow, completion, error, and bounded count or state categories. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Permissions
Photo and document selection is requested only when the user chooses an import action. Notification permission is requested only when the user enables an item reminder. Advertising consent choices are requested only where the consent platform determines they are required. The app does not request contacts, location, microphone, or account access for its core inventory workflow.
Retention and deletion
Inventory records, evidence, reminders, activity, filters, and preferences remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. Items in Trash remain recoverable until the user permanently deletes them. A private recovery snapshot remains under the user's Apple Account and platform controls until replaced or removed through the app's data lifecycle. Separately exported files remain where the user saved them. Purchase records remain governed by the platform store and can be restored separately.
