Weather Data And Scientific References

Weather data providers and scientific method references are services and publications rather than software bundled into the app. The app identifies the selected provider and exposes source or attribution details where required. Providers can include Apple WeatherKit, the US National Weather Service, Japan Ministry of the Environment, Singapore NEA through data.gov.sg, Visual Crossing, Bright Sky/DWD, and MET Norway.

Modeled WBGT uses documented approximations informed by published meteorological methods, including Roland Stull's wet-bulb approximation (2011), Erbs, Klein, and Duffie's diffuse-radiation method (1982), and NOAA/NWS WBGT field algorithms. A modeled result remains labeled as an estimate.
