Support

Nearby Bluetooth Finder can observe only compatible powered-on Bluetooth devices that are advertising nearby. It cannot use Apple Find My, Google Find Hub, a crowdsourced tracking network, exact distance, or compass direction.

Before scanning

  1. Charge and power on the accessory.
  2. Keep it awake and near the phone.
  3. Open any case or exit a deep sleep mode when the accessory requires it.
  4. Allow Bluetooth or Nearby Devices access when the app asks.
  5. Start a foreground scan.

Paired-only, sleeping, powered-off, out-of-range, or non-advertising devices may not appear.

If no devices appear

  • Confirm Bluetooth is on.
  • Move closer and scan again.
  • Remove the accessory from a pocket, bag, or metal enclosure.
  • Wait briefly after waking the accessory.
  • Review permission access in system Settings.
  • Reduce nearby radio interference when practical.

If the signal becomes stale

Stop moving briefly, keep the phone orientation steady, and wait for a fresh advertisement. Retry the target or return to Scan if the accessory is no longer visible. Signal changes are relative and do not prove exact position.

Privacy and saved outcomes

Bluetooth observations stay on the device. Saved outcomes can be reviewed and deleted from Recents. Nothing is uploaded unless the user explicitly exports a saved outcome.
